Tunisian Wedding

The traditional wedding in Tunisia is so different from the one in Japan. It lasts 7days (!!) with full of customs and ceremonies.

This is one of those, the wedding Henna paint. which all the female in the family have both on their hands and soles. Covering their hands with a kind of groves for about 3 hours after it's done by a professional, the color stays and will last more than a few weeks.

"So many countries, so many customes."

Doors & Windows

Tunisian doors were decoreted with iron tack and colorful paint, also beautifuly curved iron-barred windows were everywhere and they caught my eyes.

Those are the old style wooden windows which opens up outside (not sliding ) and always painted cobalt blue.

Beautiful Beach Towns

To see those beautiful beaches of white sand, white buildings with blue windows, nice cafes and bars facing to the coast of the Mediterranean sea was a good surprise to me because more sandy brown image was in my head before I visited Tunisia.
(city of Hammamet)

City of Sidibou was especially beautiful and Tunisian President has a few houses there. The view from its up hill was outstanding!

Back to the reality...

A late summer vacation is over...

I was back on Monday, 19th, and kept myself busy with work. Here I am finally typing this massage... Sorry for not updating the page during the trip. The internet connection in Tunisia was not very good (only to me?) and I had to give up doing it after a couple of tries.

Anyway, I had a great time and got so much to tell & show!! The photos I took maybe tell more than my words, but I will try to explain about the places I visited and the things I did as much as I can.

From Kuala Lunpur

Since I hadn't slept at all before leaving home last night, the 7-hour-flight from Nagoya was not that bad. I could have a short sleep. Seeing a long line for the check-in counter of Malaysian Airline, I was expecting a flight with full of people. But I had an empty seat next to me though it was not my favorite window seat...

Here I am at the airport in Kuala Lunpur, Malaysia, for the transit. Waiting for the next flight at 23:59 to Rome (now 5:00pm!) is just too long and I have no idea how I kill my time (>_<) ---maybe the homework of Korean!?

Anyway, things are going well so far and I look forward to a good long sleep in next plane...ZZzzz
